The walls of our houses, made of stone, river pebbles and bricks, have undergone a conservative restoration that enhanced their architectural and constructive features.

loors are made of local terracotta with handmade bricks recalling the Florentine tradition. Green building products have been used to plaster and paint the walls of our houses in order to ensure proper respiration in the rooms and the best comfort to our guests.

Rooms have been decorated combining antique furniture, mostly belonging to Paluffo house, and modern Italian design; special attention has been given to the design and functionality of bathrooms where we offer shampoo, shower and hand soap locally produced from olive oil without chemicals.

All rooms have central heating and air conditioning and a broadband WiFi Internet connection; for the best dreams we selected latex matrasses for beds and pillows.

We have reduced the environmental impact of the structure using different technologies and solutions. Electricity is produced by a 12kWatt photovoltaic system.

Heating and cooling systems use renewable energy: there are heat pumps powered by photovoltaic panels, hot water heating using thermal solar panel and pellet (compressed recycled wood) boilers in addition to the heating system.

Rainwater is collected and used for irrigation, while waste water is regenerated through herbal purification methods.

Running water is an element that provides balance and energy to the environment.

This is the reason why we decided to build a natural swimming pool using the natural regenerative power of aquatic plants for its maintenance, instead of chlorine or other chemical components. This approach, widespread in Austria and Germany, allows people to bathe in pure water surrounded by water flowers.

For the implementation of the bio pool that requires a careful design we choose the sector leader company Bio Top that has an experience of more that 3000 natural pools.

The energy of Paluffo results from the delicate balance among nature and buildings, from the presence of ancient trees, from the use of traditional farming methods excluding the use of weed-killers, insecticides and indiscriminate exploitation of the soil, from the biodiversity of plants and flowers and from the love and harmony of the people living there. Beside the presence of the natural water of the natural pool, important for the balance of the area, there is a meditation path alog the perimeter of the estate and dotted with "powerful points" (points characterized by important trees "protecting" the area). In Paluffo we grow several varieties of olives and Chianti wine grapes, interspersed with old fruit trees (peache, apple, pear, blackberry) and other trees typical of the Tuscan scrub.
