This is an independent vacation itinerary to visit two of the richest areas for art and culture in the world, Firenze and Venezia, we offer our guests the opportunity to live and enjoy the Italian life style and gastronomy with all five senses.You will be hosted at Paluffo and at Castello di Lispida where the owners and staff will take care of you during your stay, and advice you about all tour possibilities.
The trip can start from Lispida (Venezia) or, as well from il Paluffo (Firenze).

Day 1: Tuscany
Arrival at Il Paluffo, one of the oldest building in Certaldo area, dating back the 1427. l Paluffo is a small luxury eco lodge in a 15th century historical building located in the Chianti hills. It has been beautifully restored in 2010 respecting Tuscan tradition and principles of green building with a touch of Italian design.
Paluffo will enchant the guests with its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere: the bio swimming pool with water flowers and the smooth beauty of the landscape with the view of San Gimignano.

Day 2: Wonders of Renaissance - Florence
In 40 minutes by car or by train you will reach Florence, and hit the ground walking with a Renaissance tour of the city's historic center. You can visit one of the city’s eternal masterpieces: the Baptistery, Giotto’s bell tower, and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore – the Duomo – with its famous dome by Brunelleschi, then head to the picturesque Signoria Square, where you may admire statues by Cellini, Giambologna and Ammannati and then visit the Uffizi Gallery the finest collection of Italian paintings including works by Leonardo, Botticelli, Michelangelo and more or go to the Accademia Gallery to see David by Michelangelo. After you may precced trough the famous Ponte Vecchio, and from here you’ll move to visit Santa Croce Church, containing the tombs of illustrious Florentine citizens such as Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli, as well as fascinating works by Giotto and Donatello. In the S. Lorenzo district you can visit the famous tombs by Michelangelo, built for Lorenzo the Magnificent, but also some hidden corner like the bustling Mercato Centrale where you will have the opportunity to shop for the best seasonal food from across the region and taste some typical dishes of the Tuscan cuisine like lampredotto and tripe stew.

Day 3: Siena, San Gimignano and the Tuscan countryside
Siena is a UNESCO world heritage site and this itinerary takes the visitor through its most important sites to gain a general impression of the colored-bricks city. From the Basilica of Saint Dominic, we go along the old Francigena road, the backbone of medieval Siena. We see the headquarters of Monte dei Paschi, the oldest bank in Europe, Tolomei square and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption which is a superb example of gothic architecture with rich art patrimony left by artists such as Michelangelo, Donatello, Bernini. There is also a short visit to the Chiagiana Music Academy courtyard. But above all you’ll enjoy to walk through the narrow streets (contrade) to discover the secret life of this city.The natural end to our itinerary is the famous shell-shaped Piazza del Campo with the Torre del Mangia where twice a year there is the Palio the medieval horse race.
In the afternoon you can move to San Gimignano, having a look to medieval village of Monteriggioni along the Francigena road. Starting from Saint John Gate and ending at Saint Mathew Gate, crossing the Cistern square, the Collegiate church square with the Palaces of Podestà and the towers of the Salvucci family.
Not to forget the view point and St Agustin church with frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli and the chapel of Saint Fina painted by Ghirlandaio.
It is also possible to give you suggestions for a Vernaccia wine tasting.

Day 4: Welcome to Castello di Lispida - Venice and Veneto countryside
Arrival at Castello di Lispida. This ancient castle, nestled in the heart of the Natural Park of Colli Euganei, close to Padova and Venice, is one of the most interesting pieces of this area’s heritage, in a central position to all main historical destinations of the Veneto region. Relax by the covered pool (open mid April\mid October). Free wine tasting and possibility to book a traditional Venetian dinner, with organic wines of the castle.
Car: 2h 40 min. mainly by motorway.
Day 5: Historic Venice
Transfer to Venice by train (Intercity 33 min. 9 € - Regional train 50 min. 6 €). The local railway station is located 4 kms. from the castle.
In Venice, we suggest a walking tour through the backstreets, ending with the shimmering, mosaic-filled St. Mark's Basilica. Along the way, you may learn learn about the city's remarkable past and its challenging future. Close to St.Mark, you may enjoy a first real brush with the Renaissance — Venetian-style — with a tour of the Accademia's treasure trove of great Venetian art, starring Titian, Veronese, Bellini, Tintoretto...and every shade of color imaginable. After this amazing museum, we suggest to visit the picturesque island of Burano, known for its lacemaking, where you'll have free time to explore this pastel painted gem, and find lunch on your own. After returning to Venice, the evening is yours to explore the imposing Doge's Palace, maybe take in a church concert, waltz on St. Mark's Square, or pub-crawl your way through this inimitable city.

Day 6: Padova and the Treasures of Venice countryside
In just 20 minutes by car you may reach from Castello di Lispida the city of Padova and visit Cappella degli Scrovegni, hosting a fresco cycle by Giotto, completed about 1305, considered one of the most important masterpieces of Western art. Moving back, spend a visit to the medieval villages of Arquà Petrarca and Monselice, where you can visit the world famous Castello (XIV century) and the ancient Rocca Longobarda. In Arquà Petrarca don’t miss a walk through the alleys and food shops, ending with a tasty lunch in the local trattoria’s .
